1. SHIPPING COSTS:The cost of shipping is determined as follows:
- if
the value of the goods ordered is more than R1750.00 and the items
weigh less than 9.9Kg, shipping is FREE
- For orders
heavier than 10Kg but less that 19.9Kg, the shipping charge is R95.00
per order.
- If the weight is more than 20Kg the
shipping charge is R95.00 plus R1.00 per kilogram over 20Kg
- South
African Post Office only accepts parcels up to 30Kg.
- Special
arrangements need to be made for parcels over 30Kg.
- No
deliveries will be done outside of South Africa.

VAT:The prices displayed include VAT.
3.
DELIVERIES All items shown as in stock will be shipped
within 5 days. Hobbytech will make every effort to assure that the
information supplied on the website is accurate. Where delays
and out of stock situations occur, every effort will be made to inform
the buyer.
4. PAYMENT:Credit card payments:
- At
the time of placing the order, an authorization will be obtained for
the amount of the order.
- Payment will only
collected when the order is completed and the goods shipped.
- Hobbytech
scrutinizes all transactions to prevent attempted fraud and a
transaction may be refused if not satisfied with its legitimacy.
Bank deposit payments:
If
the buyer selects to pay via bank deposit instructions will be given on
how to deposit monies subject to the following:- The
exact amount must be paid. No refunds will be given as “change”
- The
payment must be identified by supplying the order number and surname in
the reference section of the deposit slip or on the electronic
transfer.
- Cheque deposits are subject to a
clearing period and prior arrangements to pay via cheque must be made
- No
deposits are accepted from outside of South Africa.
- Unpaid
bank deposit orders will be cancelled if no payment is received within
3 days of order
- No orders will be shipped until payment has reflected on Hobbytech cc bank statement
5. AGREEMENT OF SALEPlacing
an item in a shopping basket or adding it to a wish list does not
constitute an agreement of sale or order for the product. An agreement
of sale only comes into effect when Hobbytech dispatches the goods.
Hobbytech reserves the right to refuse an order without furnishing any
reason. Hobbytech reserves the right to cancel orders as circumstances
dictate. Hobbytech shall only be liable to refund monies already paid
by the user. Hobbytech shall take all reasonable efforts to maintain
correct prices and stock availability. However, should errors occur and
items are offered at incorrect prices or are out of stock, Hobbytech
will not be obliged to sell goods at such incorrect prices and shall
only be liable to refund monies paid. All advertisements/specifications on products are subject to change without prior notice. Hobbytech reserves the right to refuse any sale.
6. GUARANTEE
Hobbytech will honor the manufacturer’s guarantees if such
guarantees are offered. As the products offered are mostly imported and
guarantees are normally “carry in” there are shipping costs involved in
honoring these guarantees.There are no guarantees/warranties on any electronics or batteries sold.
7. LAWThis
site is operated and controlled from the Republic of South Africa and
is therefore governed by South African law

PRIVACYHobbytech shall take all reasonable steps to protect
the personal information of Users. Hobbytech may collect, store and use
the following personal information of Users
- Name
and surname;
- birth date;
- gender;
- country of residence;
- closest
city;
- non-personal browsing habits and click
patterns;
- e-mail address;
- IP
address; and
- ID number / passport number.
The
information may be used for the following purposes:
- to
greet the User when he/she accesses site
- subject to
the User'\s consent, inform the User about special offers and new
products.
- To compile non-personal statistical
information about browsing habits, click-patterns and access

verify the identity of the User
- To ensure that
the goods are received by the addressee

AGREEMENTSThis Agreement commences upon registration on the
Hobbytech website and continues indefinitely until cancelled by
Hobbytech.
