Q : How secure is it to pay online with my credit card?

A: All the credit card transactions on hobbytech.co.za are handled by Mygate. Our site makes use of Mygate as they are known for their security and ease of use. If you still don't feel safe using your credit card you can make payment via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or bank deposit. 

Q : How much will postage cost me?

A : Postage is charged at R55.00 for uninsured mail to anywhere in South Africa. If the item is under 1kg and will fit in a speed services bag it will be sent via speed services at no extra charge. However if it is larger than a speed services bag or weighs more than 1kg it will be sent normal mail. The reason our postage costs more than you would pay at the post office is that we have to cover the costs of all our packaging materials, and the fuel/time it takes to get to the post office everyday.

Q : How accurate are the stocks on the website?

A : We try to keep the stocks as up to date as possible and can safely say that they are 99% accurate as we do an update every morning. If you are concerned about anything feel free to send us an e-mail or give us a call and we can double check the stock for you.
